Thunder Ridge High School faced a challenge common in every K-12 school district: how to control costs while giving students and teachers needed educational tools. After initially looking at a traditional copper-based architecture, the high school switched to a more modern Passive Optical LAN (POL) design. This enabled Thunder Ridge to redirect the square footage for telecom equipment to more important educational needs of the students, teachers and administrators.
